Two-component silicone with polycondensation cross-linking. Component A to silicone crosslinker CATA 24H (component B). Heat resistant. For the production of moulds for lead and tin casting.
Contents 1000 g.
Please remember to order the silicone crosslinker (component B) for silicone RTV-3255 heat-resistant separately!
Silicone RTV 3255 is particularly suitable for the production of casting moulds for casting metals with a low melting point (e.g. lead or tin) and epoxy casting resin. Heat-resistant up to approx. 250° C.
Application:
Stir silicone compound well before use. Carefully mix silicone RTV 3255 (component A) with silicone crosslinker (component B) in a weight ratio of 100:5. Always measure exact proportions, preferably using a digital scale. It is best to process at a room temperature of 23°C and a humidity of 50%. The higher the room temperature and humidity, the shorter the pot life and faster the hardening. The silicone can be thickened with Aerosil powder.
If the object to be moulded is made of metal or another smooth material, first clean and degrease the object. Wipe with a cloth soaked in acetone or rinse with acetone. Prime the object by dipping, spraying or brushing on with a suitable agent (with the exception of silicone), then leave to air dry at 25°C for at least 30 minutes. Then slowly and evenly pour silicone RTV 3255 over the object.
