Practical sharpening stone for forged steel and carbide tools. The dimension always refers to the diamond surface.
The diamond coating is mounted on an aluminium carrier and enables fast sharpening. The rubber feet keep the sharpening stone securely in place.
Sharpening stone tools:
The coarser 200 grit is sufficient for most sharpening work on stone tools. For a clean edge, e.g. when striking lettering, a higher sharpness is required, which is achieved with a finer diamond.
To sharpen chisels (point chisels, claw chisels, flat chisels, sculpting chisels, lettering chisels, etc.), place the tool at as flat an angle as possible and pull it over the diamond surface with only light pressure. The diamond surface will be damaged if too much pressure is applied or if the grinding angle is too steep and the tips of the chisels bore into the diamond surface. A very good grinding effect is also achieved with lower pressure and a shallower grinding angle.
